Overview
An Unity3D cooperative puzzle adventure game created during my internship at Tencent Games Morefun Studio and later expanded into my capstone project. I designed and implemented the full rope mechanic system, including tension physics, collision logic, and multi-zone puzzle progression.
Role: Solo Designer & Developer
Timeline: Jul 2024 — Sep 2024 (intern), Mar 2025 — May 2025 (capstone project)
Design Goal
- Create a mechanic where two players are physically and mechanically tied together.
- Ensure rope tension meaningfully affects traversal, puzzle solving, and cooperation.
- Deliver a vertical slice that demonstrates extensible system architecture.
Challenge
How to design a rope system that is readable, responsive, and cooperation-oriented, without becoming chaotic or frustrating.
